Son of Africa benefits greatly from your sponsorship. We are currently looking for sponsors for our Son of Africa Cup Soccer Tournament. After a successful 2025 Tournament, we decided to go bigger and better for 2026 as we weren’t able to include all of them that wanted to participate. This year we are having 4 teams (12/team) so 48 boys in all and we are looking for team, or individual sponsors so we can get all of them in on the action. Your donation will provide them with a soccer uniform, shoes if possible, team trophies and lunch and drinks. We have challenged the group of boys from the Talibe daara (home) a couple doors down from us and will include the beach boys from the two fishing villages on either side of us as well as our boys from the hood. We are looking at about $15-$20 for each player. We’ve had some great donations of soccer gear and trophies that we will take over with us but we’ve found that it is easier and less expensive to buy from the second hand market in Senegal than pay the exorbitant prices for extra baggage and also, by supporting locals, its a win win situation.
