They’d never put a mutton up there?
ohhhh yes, yes they would and we see it often. On top of busses or cars and you might even want to ask Argo about INSIDE cars??? What could go wrong??
There’s no way i’ll get a ticket for my burnt out headlight and this guy won‘t even get stopped!
Wrong! You missy…have a headlight out and we’re going to have to write you up! It really happened! Both my ticket, and that car!!

That pink lake is fake!
No, it isn’t! It’s named Lac Rose or Lake Retba. We travel here every year. Sometimes more pink than other times depending on the minerals in the water and the light. Its such a great place. They harvest salt here and you’ll see it in large piles on the shore.
Look! Theres a wild Rhino!
Ya, I wouldn’t say that because, well…… there aren’t any, besides the nature reserves like Bandia and Fathala, where they have been reintroduced to the area. It’s still pretty impressive to see them within the reserve though. I’m glad this guy wasn’t much interested in me

We should take a bus trip!
Oh heck no!!!!x100. We see them all time and they are used by many people to get to where they are going but, we also see many overloaded, unbalanced and broken down along the routes. I think there should be a cap to how much you can load on the roof, … what do you think?
That sunset was underwhelming!
Yes, you also won’t hear me say that. The sunsets here are amazing and they happen quickly so you can miss them easily. That huge African sun sinks into the ocean at the same time everyday and its beautiful! Its also the best time for fishing from the beach below Son Of Africa. We’ve spent quite a few nights fishing into the early morning…..sometimes we are lucky, other times….. not so much. For me , it’s the hunt, not the kill and I love the quiet conversation and peacefulness of the night and the sound of waves lapping on the shore. hmmmm

That’s it for now, but I have tons more coming. It’s a big world out there and every culture has its familiar and not so familiar things that make life interesting. I’ve certainly found my share here in Senegal.
